Sarasota Farmers Markets

Siesta Key is a happening place. In fact, the entire Greater Sarasota is known for being a cultural center with lots of events going on throughout the year. In addition to these special events, there are three Sarasota farmers markets that we always suggest that visitors should definitely check out when on vacation on Siesta Key.

The Siesta Key Farmers Market is located in the Siesta Key Village, just a short walk from the Inn on Siesta Key. It is open every Sunday from 8am to 1pm and includes fresh fruits, vegetables, baked foods, pastries as well as local plants, organic teas, Italian olive oils and artisan breads. The Siesta Key Farmers Market also includes organic skin care products, clothing, jewelry, pottery and much more.

The Sarasota Farmers Market is conveniently located in the downtown district at Lemon Avenue and State Street. The market includes over 70 vendors and over 5,000 square feet of produce and plants. The market takes place every Saturday from 7am to 1pm.

The Phillippi Farmhouse Market is open every Wednesday during the months of October thru April, from 9am to 2pm. in addition to USDA Certified organic produce, the market offers breakfast, lunch and snacking foods and local artisans with lots of unique gift ideas in an open market setting.

Each of these farmers markets are a treasure trove of fresh produce and unique gifts. Even if you decide to buy nothing at all, you will still have a wonderful time walking around and enjoying the delightful atmosphere that each market provides.  This is just one of the many activities you can enjoy while staying on Siesta Key and visiting Sarasota.  We hope you enjoy it to its fullest!
