Summer Activities for Kids

If you're on vacation with your kids, chances are you're looking for a variety of activities for them to do. Here is a list of ideas for both outdoor and indoor summer activities for kids in Sarasota:

Stardust Skate Center

This indoor roller skating rink includes lights, music, skating, contests and prizes. Stardust offers many different skating events, arcade games and a snack bar.

Ringling Summer Circus

This show will be running from ____ to _____.  Performances have included in the past: spinning ropes, blacklight juggling, clown acts, acrobatics and more. The show promises entertainment for all ages. Admission into the Circus Museum is $5 with your Summer Circus ticket.

Kids' Beach Runs

Summer beach runs on Siesta Key Beach are every Tuesday night from____ to  ____.  Ages 17 or younger gather to run a 1 mile stretch of beach. There is a one time $1 registration fee. Participants receive a ribbon and a popsicle.

Selby Public Library

The library has programs for all ages. Activities include live music, labs, story time, arts & crafts and more.

Jumpin Fun Sports

Jumpin Fun is a 26,000 square foot indoor trampoline park that features a variety of activities. This jumping park has an open jump court, dodge ball court, foam pit, kid's corner, basketball dunk and rock climbing tower, all available with admission.

Selby Gardens

Selby Gardens hosts events and activities like Splashin' Saturdays, with water themed activities, water slides and games/garden crafts and live music in the Ann Goldstein children's Rainforest Garden (which has a waterfall, forest pool and plants, canopy walk and more).


Looking for a great way to stay refreshed on a hot summer day? The YMCA water park is located next to the Sarasota Westfield Mall. There is a 50 meter swimming and diving pool, water playgrounds and twisting water slides.

Mote Marine

Mote Marine is a scientific research laboratory and rehabilitation center for marine life and a family-friendly educational center. Your kids will love getting to see the marine animals. They can even feel stingrays and other small marine life at touch stations.

The Children's Garden
