The Downtown Sarasota Farmer's Market is one of the most popular events for tourists and locals, as the amount of DELICIOUS fresh food, as well as produce and hand-made clothing never ceases to amaze. The market is very kid and dog friendly, so bring the whole family! Local businesses gather downtown every Saturday morning from 7 AM-1 PM, sharing their tasty treats and unique trinkets that make for amazing gifts (either to others or yourself!). The amount of beautiful, fresh produce keeps locals coming back, as the fruits and veggies are nothing as you get in the supermarket. The goal of the farmer's market is to help local businesses share their specialties, as well as create knowledge of the importance of buying local.
